We are a training practice which means we will have medical students working in the surgery on four week attachments. All their work with patients is supervised closely by the GPs. They are not yet qualified and cannot prescribe. You may have an appointment at the surgery or receive a home visit that involves them. The receptionist will let you know at the time of booking and you can say if you would prefer them not to be present.
|Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.|
